Optometrist Grayling MI

Two of the most frequently asked questions of our optometrists at Alpine Eye Care is how often should I have my eyes examined and what should I expect during my exam.

How often should I have my eyes examined?

This question varies from individual to individual. For those who do not suffer from any eye conditions and are not having any problems, it is still important to have annual checkups to ensure your eye health. If you suffer from health related issues which may impact your vision or if you having any strange symptoms, you will need to schedule an appointment right away. From birth, it is important to have regular checkups to ensure all is right in your eyes. In addition, starting children out early will also help them feel more comfortable later on.  If you have questions about this, contact your eye doctor directly.

What to expect during my eye exam?

During your eye exam you can expect to review your medical history in addition to several tests which are painless and will determine how clearly you can see.  In some cases you may have tests which require eye drops to dilate your eyes. If you are driving, be sure you know if you require these tests and bring someone along to drive for you. You can learn more about what to expect by visiting our Eye Exam page here.

We are trained to correct your vision as well as to diagnose and treat certain disorders. Early detection and correction are keys to protecting your eyes. Don’t put off your eye exam, schedule your appointment today.
